The 34th edition of India International Leather Fair (IILF) will be inaugurated by Thiru O. Panneerselvam, Honble Deputy Chief Minister, Tamil Nadu at 5.30 pm on January 31, 2019 at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai (Tamil Nadu). The inaugural function will be presided over by the Honble Minister for Industries, Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.C.Sampath as well as the Honble Minister for Environment, Tamil Nadu, Thiru K.C.Karuppannan. Shri Deepak Kumar, IAS, Executive Director, ITPO and Shri P.R. Aqeel Ahmed, Chairman, CLE, Dr. Francesco Pensabebe, Italian Trade Commissioner, alongwith the captains of Indian Leather Industry will also grace the occasion.
Highlighting the export prowess of the Indian leather entrepreneurs, this specialized event aims to feature their achievements, the latest technologies as well as new innovations with an eco-friendly tag .
This year, the theme pavilion Greening the Leather is being setup by ITPO, CLE, CSIR and CLRI which will present Spring Summer 2020. It will also manifest the dexterity of the Indian expertise in eco-friendly designs and development of exquisite and high quality leather wears from finished leather. Apart from unveiling the export potential of India, IILF also aims to project India as an investment destination and manufacturing a hub for design and information. This year, the fair will also manifests its commitment to various initiatives taken by the Government and Industry such as Make in India, Digital India, and Swachh Bharat.
This three day flagship event of ITPO and Indian Leather Industry is being organized by the active support of the Council for Leather Exports (CLE), Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Indian Shoe Federation (ISF), Indian Finished Leather Manufacturers & Exporters Association (IFLMEA) and Indian Footwear Component Manufacturers Association (IFCOMA).
Covering an area of 10,000 sq. mtrs, IILF 2019 will feature a wide range of products, machinery and equipment from over 450 companies from India and abroad, while more than 150 exhibitors are taking part from overseas. Significantly, China, France, Germany, Italy and Brazil are setting- up their National Pavilions. The fair elicited response from major groups including the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs & Energy of Germany, ASSOMAC (Italy), Wenzhou Donnor Exhibition Group (China), G & F Group (China),Splendor Group (China), CICB (Brazil), SGCP (France), ISF, IFLMEA and IFCOMA. This year, overseas participation is from Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom.
The display profile covers: Finished Leather & Leather products (Convention Centre), Machinery & Equipment, Technology (Hall 1-A,B,C), Chemicals, Components (Hall 2 & 3), Chemicals & Components (Hall-3A) and Finished Leather, Synthetic Material, Chemicals & Components (Hall-1D).
For the convenience, there is a provision of online booking for exhibitors with payment gateway, ticket sale at entrance Gate (TNTPO) and registration counters at Hall 3A, Hall 1D and Convention Centre, Car hailing facility at Convention Centre, Radio Taxi bay at the entrance gate for exhibitors.
There will be sale of tickets from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm and no free-entry or concessional entry tickets for students groups. There shall be no advance sale of tickets. There will be free entry for pre-registered visitors, foreign buyers/buying agents and visitors registering at the counters with ITPOs single-entry invite.
