Anna University Zone 4 Inter Collegiate Women Ball Badminton Tournament 2019
SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Kattankulathur organized Anna University Zone 4 Inter Collegiate Women Ball Badminton Tournament 2019 on 23rd September 2019 at Valliammai Sports Complex.
During the inaugural function, Dr.N.Ganapathy, Director of Physical Education, welcomed the gathering and Dr.B.Chidhambararajan, Principal, Dr.M.Murugan, Vice Principal inaugurated the tournament along with the Heads of the various department and Physical Directors of various Engineering colleges in Anna University Zone 4.
Totally 80 women students participated from Anna University Zone 4 affiliated colleges. The match was conducted by knockout system. The results of the match, in first semifinal, SRM Valliammai Engineering College beat Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering by 35-19, 35-0. In the second semifinal, Madras Institute of Technology beat Sri Sairam Engineering College by 35-17, 35-25 and in the Final match, SRM Valliammai Engineering College beat Madras Institute of Technology by 35-15, 35-30 and won the first and second positions respectively. For the third position match, Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering beat Sri Sairam Engineering College by 35-30, 32-35, 35-30 and got third and fourth positions respectively. Dr.B.Chidhambararajan, Principal, Dr.M.Murugan, Vice Principal, Heads of the various department, Physical Directors of various Engineering colleges in Anna University Zone 4 and Organizing Secretary Dr.N.Ganapathy congratulated the winners.
