NIEPMD National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) is a unique institution of national eminence, which trains persons to serve the multiply disabled persons, across the Indian nation and internationally.
SRM Institute of Science and Technology is a globally renowned and imparts knowledge in all the streams of knowledge. In particular, it conducts courses e.g. Speech therapy, Audiology, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, which empower marginalised sections of the society. It has a significant number of students from several countries in Asia and Africa.
University of Northampton has a global footprint in Occupational Therapy and its students come from innumerable countries. In addition, it conducts courses, across the world.
The venue will be SRM Institute of Science and Technology, in their Potheri campus at Kattankulathur (near Chennai), Kanchipuram district, Tamilnadu state.
This is a very large conference. About 600 delegates will attend. 79 Resources Persons will share their knowledge and wisdom. Participants to this Conference are from United Kingdom, Cambodia, Srilanka, USA Colombia, Malaysia, Nepal, Bhutan, and Canada. There will be 148 Scientific presentations.
There will be Cultural Programmes on 31.1.2018 & 1.2.2018 by children with Disabilities. 30 teams (international and national) will participate. A resource book will be published.
