The Department of Physics, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Vadapalani campus has organized two days National conference on Advances in Materials Research -2018 (NCAMR-18) during April 27th&28th.The conference received more than 75 research papers across the country. Dr.K.Ramachandran HOD,Physics gave the welcome address. Dr.C.Gomathi Dean in charge (E&T) has appreciated the meticulous efforts rendered by Physics Department in organizing this conference for second time. Dr.R.Jayavel, Director Research, Anna University distinguished chief guest for this conference has addressed on numerous opportunities and invention in the field of material sciences. His thought provoking speech enthralled the participants to invest their ideas in the field of material sciences. Professors and research scholars from various institutions have presented their research papers.

எஸ். ஆர். ஏம் அறிவியல் மற்றும் பொறியியல் கல்வி நிறுவனம், வடபழனி வளாகம், இயற்பியல் துறை சார்பாக தேசிய அளவிலான இரண்டு நாள் கருத்தரங்கம் NCAMR-18 (National Conference on Advances in Materials Research) என்ற தலைப்பில் ஏப்ரல் 27 மற்றும் 28 நாட்களில் நடைபெற்றது. இக்கருத்தரங்கில் முனைவர் கி. ராமச்சந்திரன், இயற்பியல் துறை தலைவர் வரவேற்புரை நிகழ்த்தினார். முனைவர். C. கோமதி, பொறுப்பு புல முதல்வர் (பொறியியல்) அவர்கள் எலக்ட்ரானிக் துறையில் இயற்பியலின் பங்கு பற்றியும், பயன்களை பற்றியும் கருத்துக்களை பகிர்ந்து கொண்டார். முனைவர். R. ஜெயவேல் இயக்குனர்(ஆராய்ச்சி) அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகம் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்துகொண்டு சிறப்புரை ஆற்றினார். வெவ்வேறு கல்வி நிருவனங்களை சேர்ந்த பேராசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி மாணவர்கள் தங்களது ஆராய்ச்சி கட்டுரைகளை சமர்பித்தனர்.
