NATIONAL LEVEL TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM CONSTRUO’18
The Dept of Civil Engineering, Valliammai Engineering College in association with Institution of Engineers (IE(I)) Student Chapter (VEC) and Indian Society For Technical Education (ISTE) jointly organized CONSTRUO-2018, Seventh ‘National Level Technical Symposium’ on 22nd September 2018. It was inaugurated by Chief Guest Er. K. Venkatesan, Immediate Past Chairman, Treasurer- Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry & Andaman Nicobar, Builders Association of India (Southern Centre). In the Inaugural address chief guest addressed the students by sharing his life experiences and challenges faced in his career. The role of him as a successful contractor in enormous productive projects such railways, bridge works and famous Krishna water project inspired the budding young engineers. This inaugural function was presided by our beloved Principal Dr. B. Chidhambararajan and Dr. D. Elango, Head of the Department. The Principal highlighted the importance of infrastructure development and waste management in his Presidential address. The Chief Guest and Principal officially released the Souvenir of Construo’18 and Dept newsletter in the inaugural function. The students from various colleges actively participated in all the technical and non-technical events. The best performers were awarded with cash prize in the valedictory.
