In the 47th International Film Festival of Rotterdam, only the director’s first two films are eligible for the main competition category.
Our film Peranbu a.k.a. Resurrection was eligible only for the Audience Award Category. Based on the voting of the festival audience, Peranbu secured the 20th position amongst 187 films considered for the Audience award category. Also, Peranbu was nominated for the NETPAC award.We sincerely thank the organisers of International Film Festival of Rotterdam for the opportunity and the festival audience for voting Peranbu to the top 20.Also we would like to thank Mr. Olaf Moeller, the curator of House on Fire section, Mr. Stefan Borsos and the festival organisers for screening Tamil films under the House on Fire section at 47th International Film Festival of Rotterdam.Most importantly, we would like to thank the media and fans across the world for your love and continuous support for Peranbu a.k.a. Resurrection.
