SRM Arts and Science College was founded by the reputed educationalist, dynamic FounderChairman, SRM Group of Institutions and Chancellor, SRM Instituteof Science and Technology,Dr. T. R.Paarivendharin the year 1993. The total strength of the college now stands at 2502. There are 19 departments at the UG and PG levels and 119 teaching faculties to guide and motivate the students.

SRM Arts and Science College continues to be the centre of excellence in learning and it has been proven by the university results. We are proud to state that more than 75 students have secured Madras University Top 50 Ranks.

• Jeevitha was awarded the gold medal for M.Sc Computer Science and Technology course by the University of Madras.
• We have a very effective placement cell for campus recruitment. All the eligible students have been placed in the recruitment drive and we have consistently placed 100% for the past five Years.
• During this academic year (2016-17) fee concession has been given to 91 students by the Management. On top of the Management offered fee education to 57 students for this academic year.
• Sports-T-Narendhran from B.Com(ISM)Department represented University of Madras for the best physique(Men) in the all India Inter University.
• Gokulraj from Computer Science created a 10ft & 6ft portrait of Mahatma Gandhi using 32410paper clips in 1hr and 15 minutes.
• Our students have brought many glories to the institution by participating in various academic competitions held in State and National Levels.
• In this 21^st Graduation Ceremony, 457graduands of UG and PG are about to receive degrees in their respective subjects.
