SRMIST, Vadapalani campus organized REACT’19!!
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Vadapalani, organized fifth national conference on Research in Electronics Engineering and Communication Techniques- REACT’19. This conference acts as a forum for young researchers to present their innovative ideas during the paper presentation session and gather new ideas from other researchers. The event was held on 29th and 30th of March 2019. Welcome address was given by Dr.C.Gomathy, HOD, ECE. Dr.Shirly Edward presented the report on REACT’19. The Dean Dr. K. Duraivelu quoted ” No Engineering disciplines are independent. It’s all interdisciplinary.” He also enlightened the students on the topic , importance of control systems in automobile and other areas. The event commenced with the felicitation of Dr.Sudhir Ravindran, Patent attorney and CEO of Altacit Global Strategic Consultants for Intellectual Property and Franchise and Dr. Deepa Venkitesh, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras. The Keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Sudhir Ravindran . He emphasised the importance of commercializing the ideas for invention. Followed by him, Dr.Deepa Venkitesh spoke about ’Signal Processing: Something beyond Electronics’. She briefed on Optical fibre Communication networks. The event was successfully ended with the vote of thanks, by Dr. Vaishali.
