Vaandu movie is based on real incident of street fight happened in 1970 & 1971 at north madras without prior permissions, which was illegally planned & matches were conducted.The story narrates about the motivation & situational incidents of poor boy who is from north madras slum who gets trained by an master & competes in street fight.
