Sand Sculpting Event at Palavakkam Beach Raises Awareness on Ocean and Marine Creature
With the objective of creating awareness on ocean and marine Creatures, a large-scale sand sculpting awareness event was conducted at Palavakkam Beach with the support of the Tamil Nadu Forest Department.
The event witnessed the participation of 150 teams comprising nearly 1,000 participants, who created sand sculptures based on the theme “Awareness on Ocean and Marine Animals.” The sculptures highlighted the importance of oceans, marine biodiversity, and the need for conservation.
The event was attended by Chief Guests Mr. Srinivas Reddy, I.F.S., Principal Chief Conservator of Forests; Mr. Vinodh Raghavan, Head – CSR & Administration, FEfundinfo; and Rotary District Governor Rtn. Vinod Saraogi (District Governor 2025–2026). Their presence emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts among government bodies, corporate organizations, and civil society in advancing environmental conservation.
An esteemed panel of judges comprising CSR Heads from various corporate organizations evaluated the sculptures based on team coordination and enthusiasm, story and message, creativity and originality, and overall presentation.
The event was supported by FEfundinfo and Rotary Club RID 3234, reflecting continued involvement in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices.
By combining art with environmental advocacy, the initiative engaged the public—particularly youth—and reinforced the shared responsibility of protecting oceans and marine life. The event also highlighted the role of community participation in safeguarding marine ecosystems for future generation
பாலவாக்கம் கடற்கரையில் கடல் மற்றும் கடல் உயிரினங்கள் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்திய மணல் சிற்ப நிகழ்வு
தமிழ்நாடு வனத்துறையின் ஆதரவுடன், கடல் மற்றும் கடல் உயிரினங்கள் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் பாலவாக்கம் கடற்கரையில் மாபெரும் அளவில் மணல் சிற்ப விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்வு நடைபெற்றது.
இந்த நிகழ்வில் 150 அணிகள், சுமார் 1,000 பேர் கலந்து கொண்டு, “கடல் மற்றும் கடல் உயிரினங்கள் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வு” என்ற கருப்பொருளில் மணல் சிற்பங்களை உருவாக்கினர். சிற்பங்கள் கடல்களின் முக்கியத்துவம், கடல் உயிரியல் வளம் மற்றும் அவற்றைப் பாதுகாப்பதற்கான அவசியத்தை வலியுறுத்தின.
முக்கிய விருந்தினர்களாக திரு. ஸ்ரீநிவாஸ் ரெட்டி, (I.F.S.), முதன்மை தலைமை வனப் பாதுகாவலர்; திரு. விநோத் ராகவன், CSR & நிர்வாகத் தலைவர், FEfundinfo; மற்றும் ரோட்டரி மாவட்ட ஆளுநர் ரோட்டேரியன் விநோத் சராவோகி (மாவட்ட ஆளுநர் 2025–2026) ஆகியோர் கலந்து கொண்டனர். அரசு, கார்ப்பரேட் மற்றும் சமூக அமைப்புகள் இணைந்து செயல்படுவதன் முக்கியத்துவம் இந்நிகழ்வின் மூலம் வலியுறுத்தப்பட்டது.
பல்வேறு கார்ப்பரேட் நிறுவனங்களின் CSR தலைவர்கள் அடங்கிய மதிப்பிற்குரிய குழு சிற்பங்களை மதிப்பீடு செய்தது. மதிப்பீட்டு அளவுகோல்கள்: அணியின் ஒத்துழைப்பு மற்றும் உற்சாகம், சிற்பம் கூறிய கதை மற்றும் செய்தி, படைப்பாற்றல் மற்றும் புதுமை, உடை அலங்காரம் மற்றும் மொத்த வெளிப்பாடு.
FEfundinfo மற்றும் ரோட்டரி கிளப் RID 3234 ஆகியவற்றின் ஆதரவுடன் நடைபெற்ற இந்த நிகழ்வு, சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பில் கூட்டு முயற்சிகளின் அவசியத்தை எடுத்துக்காட்டியது.
கலை மற்றும் சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பை இணைத்த இந்த முயற்சி பொதுமக்கள், குறிப்பாக இளைஞர்கள் மத்தியில் கடல் மாசுபாடு, காலநிலை மாற்றம் மற்றும் மனித அலட்சியத்தால் கடல் சூழலுக்கு ஏற்படும் பாதிப்புகள் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தியது. கடல்கள் மற்றும் கடல் உயிரினங்களை பாதுகாப்பது அனைவரின் பொறுப்பு என்பதை இந்நிகழ்வு நினைவூட்டியது.
