IPRS Brings ‘My Music My Rights’ to Chennai: Educate, Empower, Elevate
Chennai, March 04th ,2025: After resounding success in Ahmedabad, Pune & Bengaluru, the Indian Performing Right Society (IPRS) is set to bring its flagship initiative, ‘My Music My Rights: Creators Connect Programme’, to Chennai. Known for its rich musical heritage and thriving independent music scene, Chennai has long been a hub for diverse and experimental artists, blending traditional Carnatic influences with contemporary genres. As part of its dedication to supporting music creators, independent artists, and industry professionals, this initiative serves as a key platform for conversations on copyright laws, mastering sound production techniques, and finding opportunities for distribution, promotion, and showcasing artistic work. The Chennai edition is designed to empower artists with essential knowledge to navigate the industry, safeguard their creative rights, and enhance their earning potential in today’s evolving music landscape.
Scheduled to take place on March 6th, 2025, at the KM College of Music & Technology, 19 Vinayagapuram 2nd Street, MMDA Colony, Arumbakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, 600106, from 2:00 PM onwards, the event will bring together industry experts, songwriters, composers, and music publishers for insightful discussions on copyright, royalties, publishing, and the business of music.
