Udaya’s ‘Acoust’ crew thanks media and fans
Produced by producers Udaya, Daya N. Panneerselvam, and M. Thangavel under the banner of Jason Studios, Sachin Cinemas, Sridayakaran Cine Production, and My Studios, the film ‘Acoust’ directed by Prabhu Srinivas, which was released on August 1, is running successfully in theaters with the overwhelming support of its fans. The ‘Acoust’ film team organized a function in Chennai to thank the media and fans who contributed to this success.
Producers A. L. Alagappan, Alagan Tamilmani, and Soundar were present as special guests along with the film crew at the event.
Speaking at the event, producer Daya N. Panneerselvam said, “My heartfelt thanks to Udaya, the hero and friend who has been working hard for the success of this film. This success belongs to him. He is the one who has been embracing, coordinating and guiding everyone from the beginning of the film to the present. Until now, he has not taken the success of this film on his own but has been continuously working for our interests. His aim is to continue the success of this film by acting in good films and continue to succeed. I wish him success in his aim.”
I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the actors, actresses, technicians, distributors, and theater owners who worked on this film. I would also like to thank the media and fans who made the film a success.
I am grateful to the director and Udaya for giving me the opportunity to play the role of Nagaraj in this film.
“Following the success of this film, we are planning to team up with the same team again for a new film. An official announcement regarding this will be made soon,” he said.
Director Prabhu Srinivas said, “There is a little story behind all the actors, actresses and technicians who worked on this film. I cannot talk about it in detail now. However, I express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone. First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the media who brought this film ‘Acoust’ to the people and to the fans who made it a success.
After watching this film, I received praise from America as well. The verse that comes to my mind is ‘Even if God is not, effort will bring me great reward’. The seed for this effort was A. L. Udaya. From the moment the work on the film began till the moment I am speaking, Udaya has been working tirelessly. I am watching this every day.
After the release of this film, when we traveled as a group to meet fans in Trichy, Madurai, Coimbatore, Erode, Tirunelveli, he faced the fans and the media as a single person. All the fans started asking about their well-being, saying, ‘How is the score?’ Udaya was the reason for us to get the love of the fans. At this point, I would mention Udaya as the main reason for the success of this film.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped me become a successful director in Tamil, even though I have been successful in the Kannada film industry,” he said.
Actor A. L. Udaya said, “There is a lot of pain to share. I don’t know if I can work like this anymore. I am so tired.”
With the support of my friends, they started and completed the work on the film, and with the help of the media, they made it a success for the people. We have suffered a lot in the meantime, which cannot be described or shared.
The story of this film is a good one. We have made the film with the support of friends, producers, and the film industry. When it was planned to release, some people worked secretly to prevent this film from being released. Some people even stopped it. All of these are very painful things.
If we are standing at this place in cinema today, it is not ordinary. It is a great success. This place is like that. Because so many good films have disappeared. I don’t know whose blessings it is, this film has become a huge success and is running successfully in the theaters for the third week. We are fighting to keep this film running in theaters. But my team and I are doing this struggle willingly.
This is the last chance God has given me.
I have self-confidence. However, I was forced into a situation where I had to make difficult decisions. There are many things in this film industry like intrigue and hostility. They prevent a film from being released. If this film has managed to overcome that and become a success, then it is the media and the people who are responsible for it.
The fact that this film is running in theaters for the third week since its release is a huge success. That’s why we wanted to thank the media and fans who made this possible.
After the release of this film, when we go to Trichy, Madurai, Coimbatore, the fans there celebrate by mentioning the name of the character in this film. They show great love for us. To that extent, this film has performed a huge magic. This is God’s blessing.
Whatever association is in the cinema, they should be firm. Because Tamil cinema is a monopoly. I say this firmly. It is difficult for us to win in this. We cannot fight again. If this happens to us with so many years of cinema experience, it is difficult for new producers to imagine. We are in this situation now. At this moment, I have great respect for the theater owners. Because many theater owners support small-investment producers like us. So we cannot say anything bad about them. Theater owners have been supporting this film in areas like Tiruppur, Salem, Coimbatore, saying that it is good. So we as producers are not right. There is a lot of selfishness in the Producers Association.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you at this moment, including director Prabhu Srinivas, producer Soundar, producer Alagan Tamilmani, actors Danny, Prabhakar, Sridhar, Haidu Karthik, actresses Subhadra, Deepa Bhaskar, cinematographer Marudhanayakam, music composer Naren Balakumar, stunt master Silva, singers G. V. Prakash Kumar, Venkat Prabhu, Premji, VFX Moorthy.
All producers should benefit. Next, our primary task is to organize the release of films. For this, a strong team should be formed in the Producers’ Council. As far as I am concerned, I am not going to compete in any association anymore. I am only going to look after my own work. We need a strong association like the one led by Producer K. and Producer Ibrahim Rawathar. There were leaders who were not afraid of anything, weren’t there, cinema will be good only if such leaders come.
I am not the only hero in this film, Ajmal is also a hero. Thanks to Janhvika and Yogi Babu too.
The team is planning to work together again. Director Prabhu Srinivas has narrated the story under the name ‘Dandanakka Don’. Good news will come soon in this regard. I assure you that I will continue the success of this film ‘Acoust’ and deliver successful films without a break,” he said.
