Chennai, Tamil Nadu State Under – 13 Badminton tournament event hosted by TamilNadu Badminton Association (TNBA ) & Kancheepuram District Badminton Association it was organized by Spark Sports Academy, located at Selaiyu.
The tournament started on 11th July 2018 and the grand finale was held on 15th July 2018. There were a total 574 registration for the tournament. The 5 day event was a big success with around 350 boys and 150 girls participating enthusiastically. Children within 13 years of age, from various districts like Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Chennai, Virudhunagar, Thirunellveli, Ramanathapuram, Tirupur and Coimbatore participated in the event. Singles and Doubles Tournament for Girls and Boys were held. Thiru. R. Raghavan, KDBA- Secretary, Thiru.SriKrishna, Director-Fusion Global Technologies & Solutions and Tmt.Susan Wilfon, headmistress, Zion International School honoured the event as Chief guests.
The final was played under lights at Spark Sports Academy on 15th July 2018. Thiru. Ve. Arunachalam – Gen. Secretary, TNBA & Thiru. Dr. T.Maran – TNBA, VP & President KDBA, gave away the awards. Winner of Girls Singles event R.Pravanthika(Kanchi) and Runner M.Madhumitha(Virudhunagar) Winner of Girls Doubles N. Srinidhi (Kanchi) & M. Sivadharani (Tirupur) and Runners U. Reshika(Tirunellveli) and S.A vanthika(Coimbatore). Winner of Boys Singles G. Poopesh (Coimbatore) and Runner Aaruthra Kangeyan. G(Coimbatore). Winner of Boys Doubles M. Vignesh and Vishnuvaradhan (Tirunellveli) and Runner S. Ashwath and S. Kumaran (Coimbatore).

Overall it was a phenomenal event with highest number of Registrations and Turnover. The Winners and participants took home Cups, laurels and Prize money motivating them to be a part of more such State level Tournaments.
