“The Christmas Cake Mixing Ceremony”
With the festive season around the corner, Ramada Plaza Chennai by Wyndham (A unit of PR Grand) celebrated the Christmas Cake Mixing Ceremony with pomp and grandeur. An annual affair, the ceremony this year was a merry event, with live music, varieties of Christmas bakes, and High Tea. It marked the beginning of the festivities at Ramada Plaza Chennai.
The joyous occasion of the Cake Mixing Ceremony was hosted on the 27th of November 2019. The Chief Guests, Smt. Sudha Raghunathan, a prominent vocalist in the Carnatic music and recipient of Padma Shri, Sangita Kalanidhi, Kalaimamani, & Padma Bhushan Awards and Dr. Kamala Selvaraj, Obstetrician & Gynecologist and recipient of Best Lady Doctor award, Mahila Shironmani Award, Rajiv Gandhi and Memorial National Integration Award, graced the event. The event featured Celebrities, socialites and dignitaries who along with the chief guests from the city, donned their Chef’s hats, aprons, gloves and took part in the mix prepared with an assortment of fruits such as cashews, almonds, figs, apricots, raisins, black currant and a selection of premium liquor.
Mr. Sandeep Bhatnagar, the General Manager, spoke to the media on this joyous occasion of Cake Mixing Ceremony, which was commemorated by industry experts and prominent Chefs of The Coffee Place. He highlighted the Thai food festival featuring star chefs from Thailand, which is planned between the 1st and 8th of December at Ramada Plaza Chennai along with other spectacular programs lined up in the coming months.
The hotel has planned an elaborate Christmas and New Year festivities, which will feature outstanding artists from across various countries performing popular English and Tamil music, live stations for food and drinks wrapped in festive colours of the season.
